I am having a quandary here… I am perplexed.
I have been thinking that when I write an email, people read it.
I am finding out: not so. Not really. Maybe: skimming it. Maybe using a psychological principle: I already know what you are going to say, so why listen…
Back in my magazine publishing period, I and the magazine had a lot of fans… tens of thousands.
There were always people that wanted to work with me, and they were willing to volunteer to be able to do that.
What got the people to me is the articles in the magazine. They seemed to know me, and they could not get enough of me and what I had to say. They could quote articles… I was amazed.
Imagine my surprise and dismay about the fact, that the moment they started to work with me, they stopped reading the magazine. Not just some of it, all of it.
Now, that they were an insider, they KNEW everything anyone will ever say about the industry, and stopped reading the magazine. Very disappointing.
And for an escort: it is downright dangerous.
Please, do yourself a favor, if you have the habit of not reading the emails carefully, don’t use email as a screening/booking device.
You know, you can hear people’s heartbeat in their emails. Their soul breathes through their words… the way they word things, the way they punctuate… You can feel them, and you can tell if you will like them or not… that is, if you actually read their email. What they say, not what you “already know” they will say…
Yesterday I sent out 1,000 emails. 700 of them were not read fully. All non-readers were escorts. Who is going to get into trouble next?
