Yesterday I got a complaint from an advertiser that she isn’t getting important emails from me.
I got into her yahoo account, and found out that the settings she used prevented her from getting my emails. This is what prompted me to write this tutorial:
I will do everything in Yahoo Classic… you can switch back and forth between yahoo classic and new yahoo easily without losing any data in your account. I do it in yahoo classic, because it is easier for me… ok?
So first thing: switch back to yahoo classic, if you are using the new yahoo.

You’ll get a popup… click switch to classic

When in yahoo classic, click on the options link

Select “Spam Protection” in the options menu.

Set your preferences as marked on the photo below:

–Make sure your SpamGuard is set to “ON”
–Allow SpamGuard save your messages for a month, so if you are not getting something you are expecting, you can retrieve (find and fetch) in your Bulk Folder
–Make sure you have the settings in the “mark spam/not spam area as shown. This way you can’t accidentally put someone on the spam list, just because you think they are mailing you too often, etc. This has happened to me!
–Blocking images is a good idea
