What’s Your Story? Is It Selling You?

As you’ll notice, I consider every customer that didn’t become a client… i.e. a regular, a failure. Your failure. Your marketing failure. This is the frame of reference of this article, and pretty much every article I write about escort marketing.

I just finished reading a book, Seth Godin’s ‘All Marketers Are Liars’

In a nutshell, what he is saying in the book, is that the age of ‘advertising as marketing‘ is past, and the age of ‘telling a story, as marketing‘ is in.

He says that unless you tell a story that every part of it is consistent with the whole story, unless you live your story, unless your story is authentic, your results are going to be spotty or none.

An escort client, regardless of what you think, isn’t spending a lot of money to just empty what they will empty… they can do that for much less. They are spending the money on the experience, on the magic.

If they are married, the magic, the intense desire has gone out of the relationship. The size of the magic grows with the elements of the story. In the relationship, the story is, that nothing new can happen, that the act is scripted, constrained, quick and utilitarian… the purpose of it is to empty what they need to empty.

If your time with them is the same… you are not worth the money, and they will say it in so many ways.

So what do you need to do, say, be, that they will experience magic, and they will come back for more?

If you pay attention to what you think (I hope you do!) you’ll notice that when someone says “marketing” you think of the activity one does to acquire a customer: advertising.

But what about your…

– grooming (so he doesn’t turn around when you open the door… or doesn’t close the door in your face when you show up at his door), or

– phone manners (so he doesn’t hang up with “I won’t see this one!”),

– your location (so that he doesn’t say: ‘what a dump…’ ‘not a safe area…’ ‘my SUV will be broken into…’ ‘My car can be seen from the street parking here…’ ‘this is a known motel, the cops raid it often…’ ‘let me get out of here, it smells fried fish here… like a ghetto’)

– your session (clock watcher… she just wanted to be done… etc.)

– your behavior (she had all these taboos, she was like a professional, not a GFE, she made me feel like a customer, she didn’t enjoy it)

– your hygiene (she had bad breath, smoke breath, smelly private parts, dirty hair, dirty sheets)

– your punctuality (’she was late’, ’she was on time, but totally disheveled,’ ’she wasn’t ready when I arrived’)

I could probably go on and on… but you are getting my drift.

Since I’ve been introduced this concept of ‘the story ALL my activities tell’, I’ve started to pay attention to the times when I am impatient, when I answer the phone on the potty, when I have a candy in my mouth while I am on the phone, when I complain to a client that they make me work too much… I have even noticed that what the mailman thinks about me (because I go outside with unbrushed hair, and mismatched socks) is also part of my story. So I have been writing down all the things I notice that I can change, so I don’t forget that I want to change them.

Is it work? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes, yes, yes.
