I was listening to CNN (also sometimes known as Communist News Network, LOL) when the subject of the state of CT threatening to sue CL, basically because of the recent murder of the young masseuse, came up. I am not going to speculate and say that this unfortunate young woman lost her life because she didn't screen properly. There are agencies getting busted and for the most part they are pretty thorough with screening. When I worked for an agency, I wound up at client's homes that were less than desirable. This business is riff with all walks of life, men and women alike. I've met a few providers that are a few cards short of a full deck, LOL. BUT, I have to say this about Craigslist. I advertised with them a few years ago. The reason I stopped was because of the sudden (or so it seemed) influx of young women, with no sense of class, who permeated the sites with graphic pics, their exact location (ie; "Hi, I'm Hot Lips and I am at the Village Motel on exit 21, cum see me baby") and then there's the money shot. If I WERE a guy, I would move on to the next ad, only because that would not be the kind of woman I would want to be intimate with, on any level. These ads are screaming "I have a substance abuse problem and your money is going to help me get more". Some of the girls don't look any older than 16. It was becoming an online sweat shop for escorts.

I'm a member on another well known board. Some of the girls who had been advertising on CL were asking this morning what had happened, as they were having trouble posting. One asked where else she could post, besides, Backpage, etc. I told her, for my money, outcall.net and bestgfe.com was all I used. I get more than enough business and I feel "protected" in the mere fact that both Sophie and the administrator of the other site monitor what is going on. They take an interest in how the machine works. And the men who frequent these sites seem to have a little more going for them. The bottom line, if a girl is going to choose this profession she should be educated in all areas...and let's face it, advertising should be the first lessoon. Just like when you walk into an office the receptionist is the first person you see....so you only have one chance to make a good impression. Your ad is your first impression.

In closing, I wouldn't worry too much about CL...there are so many other avenues to pursue and doing so will place you so much higher than your CL counterparts. It would probably be best to steer clear for awhile anyway until the dust settles. (or the powers that be wind up getting caught with THEIR pants down..)..LOL
