No e-mail system is secure. Assume that every e-mail you send is being saved and can be read by others than who you meant it to. Never say anything incriminating in an e-mail. Anything, that can get you into trouble if it gets into the wrong hands is something you should never say in an email.
Write your emails as if you were clear that the person who is reading it is going to use it against you if he can.
Given that our advertising says (or should say) that we trade our time for money, you want to be congruent with that.
Congruent is a $5 word for consistent. Consistent means: you only talk from one side of your mouth.
For those of you that use passwords that incriminate you: I recommend that you change it to something that can’t be used against you. Same applies to your email address!
Passwords that spell out what you do (!!) aren’t very wise. They tell the truth about you… and get you in trouble.
Thank you.
Till the next time, Sophie
P.S.: I am building a mailing list of people that actually read what I say.
I plan to reward this list with great information on marketing and other how to information. In addition: this list is going to get frequent EXTRA SPECIAL promotions, half-price sales, while the whole list will get something less generous than that.
If you are interested, there is a signup form on my blog, on the top right corner. The best 2 minutes you’ll ever spend:-)
