My Escort Correspondence: The State of the Business?

I love sending you emails, especially with a provocative title, like last time…
I get a lot of response, some of it really educational.
As you may recall, in the last email I urged you to come and visit this blog, and sign up to my newsletter and adspecials list.
There have been three main groups of response:
a. in a funk… life circumstances took over
b. technical difficulties or limitations. Subcategory of this is people who don’t really read the email before they hit “reply”
c. philosophical differences
I will quote examples and comment or not… some speak for themselves.
a.
been in a funk… phone not ringing… spending money on ads that aren’t getting me any responses…(not just yours, so I’m not pointing fingers) ACTUALLY, the majority of my clients come from your site, and that was even BEFORE I started paying for ads. So…you and I…we’re all good! lol
I am sorry, Sophie…My mother has been slowly dying for the last few months..My mind hasn’t been normal…Nor has my business. Please forgive me
I read through it, but I could not absorb all of it today. I am too frazzled and have too much going on at the moment. I most likely will just go back to my regular job, although the pay is not good. I haven’t had a session for the past five months…
b.
i read your emails the problem is that i operate mostly from my phone so its a little more difficult thats all
I am one woman army so I will read them as much as possible…
I am still here, but not advertising at this time (do I really talk about advertising all the time?)
c.
you are the only entity sending me blatantly hooker email. I hope you will futurewise keep my inbox free of what you say yahoo disallows. Please, and thank you for your continual efforts.
If you are trying to aide them, teach them, train them you are going to be perceived as a PIMP.
Of course the most disturbing emails are the last two… where I feel I am made out to be causing trouble both my readers and myself…

I have to disagree; I don’t feel that you are causing trouble at all. Well not for me anyway (and I can only speak for myself). I believe that the information that you provide us is invaluable. I have learned so much since I started reading your blogs. I feel you can never learn too much and I will continue to read your wealth of information. I greatly appreciate it.

Your efforts are really appreciated, and it’s great that the educational tips are there for those who need them to take from them what they can get out of it. Reminders on keeping up on advertising and marketing are good, but it makes me shake my head that lectures on personal hygeine and telephone manners are still be given. Should girls without this basic common sense really be encouraged in this business?? Really??

Right again! Great blog! You already know ‘my story’ from our phone conversation, and thanks so much for being so great about it! Serious stuff.
I have some great clients, and the only way I do is to be a professional. On your worst day, the bills come in. As far as the ‘one woman army’, my greatest friend and mentor, Clara, said, “When you’re a woman alone you have do to it ALL!”. So true. If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen.
However we met, I’ve learned so much from you already that I have a feeling this will be a totally profitable year, much better than ever. Even with this recent serious setback I’ve had a great week. Still can’t overdo, but do!
For me, this is a business site, and it applies to any business. I’ve had several, and advertising and marketing are definitely two different things. Oh, do you have one of those special ‘pimp’ outfits? I’d love to see it!
Try having the two weeks I had previous to these past two since I’ve been home and tell me about being in a ‘funk’. I am so happy to be home with all the love and friends, and my dog, etc. I don’t know what to do! Thanks again for a great article!

Its a shame that some only see what they want to see and don’t open there eyes to the tutorial marketing skills … As in this last reply { C. } Um?? why only see that you are only Sorry that is so small minded.
When I look at your emails, offers, blogs I see someone that is trying to pass down information, skills, education, experience and darn good specials on your boards that you know gets much traffic and will benefit others in the same business . {though you cant give everything away free} It would not be a business then.
The way I see it is people learn skills from one another . Its a good trade of education, “From one to another” You teach me what you know and I’ll teach you what I know. Then we offer each other good deals in what we each do. I can see where anyone can benefit off your Marketing skills “not just escorts” Everyone in business that has to advertise can learn from this. Any business that deals with the public {PR} can definitely benefit. All business has to have a marketing strategy. And right now I’m all ears. I love to learn something new each day. Being in the same biz as you makes it all the more valuable. I’m just now learning to put these things I learn into play with other business as well.
Now i’m needing to learn more on budget and finance.
I agree with both of you. There is a great discrepancy in “right” and “Wong”!
