… or What Is The Source of Magic?
I have had this question for a few days now: what makes a prominent political figure spend 80 thousand dollars on escorts… and what makes this last one so special, that he went to the post office and bought a money order for over 4 grands to have her come down to DC… the answer lies in this article… quite hidden, but it is there.
I got an email from my marketing teacher early today, and later I had a chance to chat with her about what she wrote.
What she is saying in her email (meant to her 30 thousand subscribers, not just me…) is that when someone performs an amazing feet, but fails to comment, hype it up, etc. then that person’s results are going to be minimal.
She used the example of this magician that was performing at tables at the restaurant she and her husband were having dinner last night.
The magician’s tricks were truly great, but he didn’t think much of them… so he only collected a handful of tips. Every diner loved the tricks, yet only a few donated tips.
She says… and I agree, that when you don’t comment on what you do, when you think it is ordinary, just because YOU can do it, then you lower “your act” to a level where the customer actually feels funny to give you tips or come back for more… because if what you did to him WERE truly as great as he felt it was… you surely would know it, and behave accordingly.
I am not sure if I am making myself clear, but you may be the best companion with the best techniques… if you don’t play it up, if you don’t act like you are the queen… you won’t be treated like a queen… and the more you are a queen (not stuck up queen, mind you! but the self confident self assured and personable queen…) you more often you’ll make a queen’s ransom.
And that is my message.
How to do it exactly? You’ll have to experiment. Go slow. Your first instinct will probably be wrong. But eventually you’ll get it right.
And hinting on you being the best is better than coming out and saying: you are the best. You may not be… but you are great…. and that is attractive. A money magnet. Attracting a queen’s ransom.
If you can contribute to this, please do so. I am interested in your input.
xoxo
Sophie
PS: I just thought of something: it is about memorability.
Most people need to be told what they are seeing, what they are experiencing. If YOU don’t tell them, they are going to go into default mode, and choose according to someone else’s opinion.
So if you want them to think that your service was memorable, it is your job to communicate that. In as many ways as you can think of… Now, warning, you need to design what you do/say and be consistent. You can’t just make it up on the fly…
I see, I need to create a post about how to make something memorable… as a practice. OK? So look out for that post. I can’t wait to see what I come up with… lol

So true! When I’m “twinkling my nose” so to speak, business just flows, but when my self esteem is low, I am suddenly totally broke. That’s all for now!
Thanks!

Hmmmm… The NY situation was not a case of sunshine and light. This governor was an egomaniac jerk whose self esteem relied on some idea that he was able to afford some high dollar product, like he was part of some mega-rich and connected persons’ club. It had nada to do with the escort he hired. Dealing with this type of agency.. the women are not individuals but products. He would have seen any escort they provided is my guess. This is the same dynamic that happens in high end topless bars where the managers and ladies fawn over someone who comes in regularly and spends a great deal of money… and in casinos they treat high rollers with extra adulation. If a client has a weak personality they become addicted to the feeling of power… and most of these personality types are NOT fun to be around.
This guy spent 80k on a prostitution agency *illegal* (since they were negotiating and selling sex and legal ESCORTS only sell time, thank you) It is not the same dynamic as for independent ladies.
There are marketing and interpersonal skills to develop but it is not as simple as A B and C… and giant sums of money will follow.
if you are only interested in making a load of money… hook into and exploit a client’s emotional weakness that seems to be more of the lesson for big dollars.

This is great advice and it is so true. After reading this and really taking a look at myself I believe I have been hurting myself without even realizing it. After reading this I will definitely be more careful in the way I carry myself in the future. Thank you so much for sharing this great info.
Hugs,

That brings me back to the wonderful question that I have run into many times in filling out interviews on different boards…
What do you think makes you different then all the other companions out there? OR What makes you feel as if you are a better companion then others?
I don’t really see that there is much I can add or say that many other ladies haven’t said already. I feel what it comes down to is {ACTION} Personality, Self confidence, self worth and what you are saying here is how we present ourselves in front of our customers and represent ourselves to the industry in our advertisements.
It’s true if you make someone think that they cannot go through a week without you then they won’t. If you tell them long enough that you are #1 in this area and then you back your own words up with the best service you can provide when you see your clients and new clients then they become just as great advertisers for you than you can yourself. As long as you back up your words with the action to prove to them you are what you say you are then the domino affect you are looking for will start.
When I would go to a interview for a job I would not go in thinking I need this job bad or I’m going to sink, I always went in with a great attitude and let them know that their company needed me and why I felt that they needed me. I would carry myself in the manner that I knew what I was doing no matter if I did or not. It always worked for me. It’s not that you automatically stand out on your own you have to make yourself stand out and be remembered. That’s when you become different. That’s when you can illuminate yourself and get that second call.
