This email came from an advertiser who lives in an area where the clientele is not to her liking. So she would like to be visible in other areas for potential travel.

I won’t quote the letter because of privacy issues… But the question is: what options does an escort have to promote themselves, besides the obvious advertising on escort sites, free or paid, and banner exchanges.

The options are countless, but no matter what, you probably need to be able to write well, preferably in good English.

If it were my site, I would first install a wordpress blog (most sites have an automatic installer for that in the cpanel/fantastico).

I would start blogging once a day. A “post” (post is the name of a blog article) doesn’t have to be long, but it should have personality, interest, and style.

I would bookmark that blog post in all the possible social bookmarking sites, and submit it to all the “ping” sites.

It’s a good idea to ask clients and colleagues to comment on your blog.

A blog can bring as many as a few hundred people a day to the site, if it is well written and well promoted.

Make sure you link to your every page of your site on your blog.

Second strategy: Find escort forums and start posting. Do not only post advertising, start commenting on other people’s posts, etc.
Make sure you have prepared a signature file with a link to your site, a link to your blog, and a sentence about yourself.

Every comment increases your visibility in search engines. You will also get direct visitors from those forums.

Third strategy: Create a yahoo or google group and post frequently. Make sure that you have a link to it in your email signature, and on your site. A yahoo/google group is excellent for staying in touch with potential clients. Make sure you moderate the posts, and moderate the members. Spammers love blogs, forums, and yahoo groups. If you allow spamming on your sites, decent prospects will leave.

Make sure that you don’t allow/use language and content that incriminate you (can get you into trouble).

Doing these three strategies consistently can increase your business many-fold.
