Designing a Website That Sells You

Welcome Back. If you haven't, please subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks

As a webmaster I see tons of websites a day. Escort websites, mainly.

As a marketer I also see a ton of websites… marketing websites.

As an escort, you (hopefully) have a website to market yourself. It is also part of the sales process. You are selling yourself, you are selling your time.

So good marketing practices should be part of your strategy when you build a website.

One function of your website is to give all the information a prospect needs to make a buying decision… so you don’t have to spend your time on emailing back and forth, or on the phone.

Another function of your website is to convey the personality that you chose for yourself as an escort.

Why do I say “you chose” the personality? Because you are not an escort, as a being, you do escorting, as a job.

Let me explain: when I look at bdsm ads, often the ad says: lifestyle domina… which means the person brought the whole concept of being a domina to her entire life, not just to the hours when she is performing a service.

Unless you are a lifestyle escort, you are only part time. Which means: you don’t sleep, eat, bathe, go to the movies, as an escort, you do it like Jane, Yvonne, or Judy.

And then, when you work, you morph into the persona you chose (mostly unwittingly) and be an escort.

Mother Theresa, I think, was Mother Theresa, 24/7.

Some company presidents are coockold husbands at night… lol. So they are part time presidents, got it?

So, the second job of the website is to effectively convey the persona you invented as an escort, so that the potential client can see if they resonate with that.

It’s best if you choose the attractive traits of your personality and then add a story line to it, to make up a person. Otherwise the role-playing will get to you, and you’ll have to take breaks, take mind-altering drugs, drink, or quit.

Consider your body secondary in this business. The persona you put together has more to do with your success than your body.

So before you build a website, build your persona, remove the negative and unattractive traits, emphasize your attractive traits, and invent a story.

Then build a site that reflects your invented persona and your story well. That is the site that will sell you best.

If you lack a persona, putting bunnies, snow, doodads on your site won’t create a persona for you. YOU have to do it.

I’ll say more about that in later posts…

Ask questions. Let me help you build your persona, even if you are not a beginner. It can make you a winner. Or a bigger winner, if you already are a winner. ;-)

    Hi Sophie,
I was wondering if you visit escort website’s and advise the owner on what she is doing wrong?
If so, I would like to be added to your list…..
Please let me know ASAP, if that is something you do…
I know with you being as busy as you obviously are, you might not have time for that kind of thing, but your info is very interesting and informative to me, and I wanted to ask you about it..
That way, I’ll know from YOUR perspective how can I improve my website…
    Thanks, for all you do,

    Hi Deliciously Addicting.

Sometimes I do advise… but mostly to people that pay for advertising, when I have a financial interest in them being successful.

If your special rate hasn’t expired yet, please take advantage of my one-time subscriber special… and then I promise to visit your site. OK?
    xoxo

OK…How, and where is the one-time subscriber special?
Sorry Sophie, I must be dense, because I can’t find it, and I went through all my emails from you….
    Thanks a bunch,
    Delicious
